MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Very large, extensively spreading, silky pubescent climber; leaves 22 x 23cm, simple, alternate, long -petioled, broadly ovate-cordate, apiculate at tip, glabrous green above, densely white silky velvety beneath; flowers rose-purple in axillary, many-flowered, bracteates cymes borne on stout peduncles, bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 3-4 cm long; sepals persistent, densely white tomentose outside; corolla woolly outside; stamens 5, included, filiform, stigma biglobose; fruit globose, indehiscent berry.
The Roots of Elephant Creeper is used for weakness, wounds, cardiac debility, hemorrhoids, anemia ,ageing, sexual weakness, insomnia, , arthritis and general debility.
